SING-ALONG WITH FERMOY ACTIVE RETIREMENT GROUP

Fermoy Active Retirement Group are inviting all our members for afternoon tea and a sing-along with Willie Collins at 2.30pm on Wednesday,

2nd March in Fermoy Youth Centre. New members most welcome to come along and join. Membership fee €20pp, €30 per couple.

Our last group meeting was very well attended, Jacinta McCormack, Community Health Care worker, based at the Rescource Centre, gave a very informativ­e talk on improving the health and life style of the senior citizens in our community, with activities such as walkie/talkies/ one million steps, safe talk training to become suicide aware. singing for the brain, visiting the community garden for an informal get together, info on personal alarms etc, demo on activator poles to promote safe walking steps, details at Fit Walk Ireland.ie website. Next Kurling session on Friday, 25th Feb. at 10.30am in Fermoy Youth Centre. New members most welcome, with the easing of the pandemic restrictio­ns, we would encourage new members to come and join, great fun, good exercise and a great social occasion, just €2 including tea and nibbles.

CHOIR

Our choir are anxious to re-group again and provide much appreciate­d entertainm­ent at the local nursing homes and care centres in the area. New members are needed, please sign up at next meeting and give it a try.

March 17th St Patrick’s Day parade, we will be walking once again armed with our activity banners and A.R.A green jackets and enjoy the festivitie­s. April 12/13th Clayton Hotel Limerick. Mini break, cost €130pp sharing. €200 including single supplement. Bus at our disposal for duration of holiday. Names at next meeting please. March 15th Gleneagle Hotel A.R.A Regional Meeting, all members eligible to attend. Lots of activities for the year ahead. Do come and join.
