WHAT’S THE STORY

Penned by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, the first movie they’ve written together since the Oscar-winning Good Will Hunting (1997), this period drama involves a long running duel between a 14th Century French knight, Jean de Carrouges (Damon) and his squire (Driver), concerning a putative encounter with the knight’s wife (Comer).

Directred by Ridley Scott, this adventure yarn has echoes of his debut feature (The Duellists). Filming began in France but moved to Ireland (watch out for Cahir Castle), leading Matt Damon to become the uncrowned King of Dalkey.
