Both teams in action at the weekend

Last Sunday the Cork Leagues were called off due to the bad weather. The games will go ahead this Sunday in Bishopstow­n. The intermedia­te team will play Raffeen Creek and the seniors will play St Anne’s. Both games will be a cracker. We wish both teams all the best.

LADIES REPORT

On Tuesday, 15th February the ladies played a fourball stroke. The winners on the day are as follow: overall nett: Noreen Ryan and Catherine 0’Gorman. Second nett: Kathleen Grumbridge and Theresa 0’Keeffe. Kathleen Grumbridge treasurer presented the prizes to the winners and offered her congratula­tions. Details of competitio­ns are posted on the notice board. The best of luck to the gents senior and intermedia­te teams who are competing in the Cork Leagues. The ladies offer their sincere condolence­s to the Egan and Flood families on the very sad passing of Tommy. Tommy was a great friend to all the ladies who was a very popular member and a true gentleman. He will be sorely missed by all at the club. Rest in peace Tommy and you will always hold a special place in all our hearts.

CONDOLENCE­S

The Fermoy Pitch and Putt club would like to pass on our condolence­s to the Egan family on the very sad news of the passing of Tommy Egan. Tommy was a member of Fermoy Pitch and Putt club for over 40 years. Tommy served on the committee for many years and was a great help to the club. Tommy also was a great sponsor to the club every year and played in every competitio­n throughout the year and never missed a Sunday or Wednesday morning competitio­n no matter what the weather was like. Tommy will be a huge loss to club. He always loved to share a good joke and was very popular with all the members. RIP Tommy.
