DRAMA IN BALLINDANG­AN

The Ballindang­an Players are back rehearsing for their production of ‘Ladies of Spirit’ which was halted in March 2020 due to the pandemic.

This play, a comedy, is set in in the staff room of a girl’s school in 1960’s, features an all-female cast of nine and is directed by Tim Dunne. Performanc­e dates are March 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th.

Beneficiar­y from the opening night (March 23rd) is Jer Spillane, a great friend of the group who is dealing with a diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease. Tickets are now available to book on 025-24753 or 086-6079251, €10 for adults, €5 for children, so don’t delay, get booking! The group would like to sincerely thank Margaret O’Brien and Nell Coughlan for once again facilitati­ng ticket booking.

SOCIAL EVENING IN BALLINDANG­AN HALL

Kick off the long weekend by joining us for a social evening with live music in Ballindang­an Hall on Wednesday, 16th March, when Ballindang­an Community Council proudly presents the ‘ The Fogues’. Raffle on the night.

‘CASH FOR CLOTHES’ FUNDRAISER

The ‘Cash For Clothes’ collection at Ballindang­an National School is Friday, 29th April at 10am. We accept all clothing, handbags, belts and all paired shoes. We also accept curtains, bed linen, towels, blankets and soft toys – no pillows or duvets. We will take donations by appointmen­t before this date. MOBILE LIBRARY IN BALLINDANG­AN
