GLENROE BALLYORGAN PARISH

Ash Wednesday takes place on Wednesday, 2nd March Mass in Glenroe Church at 9.30am where ashes will be distributed.

Ash Wednesday always occurs six and a half weeks before Easter, encompassing the 40-day period of Lent. Ashes given on this day symbolise both death and repentance in order to begin Lent in a solemn, humble way. This provides us with the opportunity to reflect on our sins throughout Lent before Easter, when we will celebrate the resurrection of Christ.

Please note that there will be no Mass on Thursday, 3rd March.

Glenroe 1st Friday Mass will be at 9.30am on Friday, 4th March.

LENTEN STATION CLERGY COLLECTION

A reminder that the yellow envelope for the Lenten priests dues is in the weekly boxes and envelopes are also available at the entrance to both churches. These can be handed into the basket at any weekend Mass.

CLOTHES BANK

The lovely pink Clothes Bank is located in Glenroe Church Car Park which can be used by people near and far to recycle their household clothing. Spring is here and now is the time to give that wardrobe a clean out. Profits from the bin will be given to Glenroe/Ballyorgan Community Council so that they can continue to run events and invest in the local area. It is important to note all clothes, shoes and household clothing will be accepted except duvets and pillows.

GLENROE GAA LOTTO
