Spring has sprung! The daffodils are timidly appearing around our community. New buds are awakening on the trees. The blossoms are unfolding. Cows and cattle are grazing. Birds are chirping, thanking us for feeding them over the harsh months. They are busy building nests. Mother Nature is beginning to shed her winter dress and starting the makeover process from winter to spring. There is a new crispness in the air, morning fog gives way to sunnier afternoons. The rain that falls suddenly has a new purpose. To nourish. It even smells different to winter rain. There is a hint of brighter days to come.

Extended daylight is beckoning us to come outside and enjoy a few more minutes each day, which gradually becomes an hour and then some with it. The world is calling us, urging us to get out, watch and enjoy new life and new beginnings. Leave troubles and worries behind. Enjoy nature’s raw splendour. Walk. Dig. Weed. Plant. Sow. If that isn’t for you sit out and allow the sunshine warm your face. Enjoy the warmth of tea or coffee outside. Read. Write. Ring a friend. Draw. Sing. Snooze. Listen. Enjoy life a little more. Allow the rejuvenations to motivate yourself to do something you enjoy. It is a privilege to be alive, to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.
