With just 3 games to go Fermoy knew they needed to win and started the game brightly and attacked the home team straight from kick off. Crosshaven defended well but on the 10th minute some clever play saw Dylan and Ruan swap passes and Ruan played a pass across the box and Calum Wheeler running in finished a brilliant move. Both teams battled well for the remainder of the first half with Fermoy having the better of the chances.

The second half saw both teams creating chances but it was Fermoy that scored the next with a good finish from Dylan O’Sullivan to make it 2-0 with 15 minutes left. With just 3 minutes left Willie Gifford made it 3-0 and guaranteed that Fermoy left with the valuable 3 points.
