PICKER PALS
Ms McCarthy’s class are being very proactive about maintaining the beauty of their environment through the Picker Pals Programme. Taking it in turns, children take home the Picker Pack of high visibility jackets, rubbish sack and pickers and lead their family on a litter-picking adventure in their local area.
This is a fun bonding experience making a real difference on the ground. Some of our children went to the local GAA field while others picked the rubbish around their locality. Their parents send in a photo of the hard work being undertaken - hats off to our 2nd and 3rd class pupils.
Our budding chefs were very busy in our kitchen rustling up pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. Toppings included blueberries, chocolate, strawberries, Nutella, lemon and sugar. Full bellies and happy Nutella faces were the order of the day.
