Local success at Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium

-

Rathcormac owner Liam Mannix enjoyed big race success at Curraheen Park greyhound stadium on Saturday night as Bartlemy Jas delivered a sensational winning performance in the final of the €4,500 Cork Cup.

Trained by Cork trainer Kieran Lynch, the 5-1 shot broke well and once he led before the opening turn, it was always going to take something special to reel him. Ballyboy Deme moved off the opening corner which did no favours to Toolmaker Zippy and Triangle Ricardo.

Upfront, it was all about Bartlemy Jas. Eight lengths clear at halfway, the winner was powering down the back straight. Witches Sydney got the better of Ballyboy Deme for second place and the strong running lady did finish with a flourish to get within four lengths of the winner. However, it was all about Bartlemy Jas and it was a special night for all connected with the dog. A 28.74 winning performance.
