The Bouncers ‘90s hurlers reunite on April 2nd

We are holding a reunion for our 90s hurlers who contested 3 county finals in a decade, winning 2 intermediates. We are having a night in The Welcome Inn, Garryspillane on Saturday, 2nd April starting at 8.30pm. Finger food will be provided on the night.

This is a great opportunity for all to reconnect and have a drink and a chat. Looking forward to seeing you all there. All welcome.

GARDA VETTING AND SAFE GUARDING

All our coaches who will be involved with children up to the age of 18 years old have to be Garda Vetted and Safe Guarded. It is an easy process to go through. Garda Vetting services are available to any person over 16 fulfilling a role of responsibility with children. Consent from a parent/guardian shall be required for applicants between 16 and 18 years of age. If you have any problem please contact our Child Welfare Officer Caroline McGrath.

The Con and Annie Kirkby Memorial Competition at Limerick Greyhound Stadium commences on 26th March and will run until 22nd April - full details coming soon.

SCÓR

Unfortunately, the deadlines for the Scór na nÓg and Scór na bPáistí competitions were upon us before we were able to get interested participants organised for this year’s competitions. We were given very short notice to get organised this year. Apologies to all interested participants on this. We will endeavour to have participants in these competitions from next year, when we can be more organised.

However, the deadline for participants to enter the Scór Sinsir competition is in May. We would love to enter interested participants in the following events: ceilí dancing, solo singing, recitation or storytelling, instrumental music, set dancing and table quiz. Please note that for all music competitions, the music must be Irish songs or tunes.

We feel that the table quiz competition is something we could enter, given the strong interest in quizzes in the parish. If you are interested in taking part in Scór Sinsir in one of these events, please contact Corona 087-9521906 or Gearóid 087-9758854 before 30th April.

PLAYER REGISTRATION ALL LEVELS (REGISTRATION ONLY)

Player registration for both senior levels and Bord na nÓg level are now open. All players must pay their registration by 31st March, 2022. Registration can be paid through Klubfunder. Complete all details requested.

MEMBERSHIP 2022 IS NOW OPEN (MEMBERSHIP ONLY)

Membership must be paid online through the GAA’s Foireann website. Please complete all details requested. Membership covers the use of walking track, use of gym and voting rights. Please note: if you are not a paid-up member, you are not covered for insurance. Please note: In the event of a draw for match tickets for Munster or All-Ireland championship matches, priority will be given to those who have paid by March 31st.

Envelopes are available to the community in Meade’s shop, Creeds shop, the Co-Op, The Hill bar, Fogarty’s bar, the Welcome Inn or any committee member.
