Super start to season for the U13 footballers
Galtee Gaels 3-08 Mitchelstown 2-07
The Galtee Gaels U13 footballers got their season underway with a fantastic win over Mitchelstown on Sunday last in a challenge game held at the Mitchelstown GAA Grounds. In heavy ground conditions Gaels got off to a great start and were unlucky hitting the woodwork on two occasions. For the first game of the season there were some great performances right throughout the team, particularly impressive were Conall Ryan who was very solid between the posts, Charlie Daltron at halfback gave a great display along with Gearoid Russell at mid-field. Of note were the fine contributions from William Lonergan and Jack Geary who, on their first introduction to competitive football, fit effortlessly into the team.
Team members: Conall Ryan, Jack Prendergast, Jack Walsh, Charlie Dalton, Padraig Casey, Mossy English, Gearoid Russell, Haulie Gallaghue, Jayden Kiely, Michael Noonan, Jack Clifford, Edward Moriarty, Cian O’Keefe, William Lonergan, Colm O’Mahoney, Jack Geary, Cullen Russell.
