Kilworth site CPO’d by council

A derelict site in Kilworth has been acquired by Cork County Council through a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO). The site, at 5 Mondarishane, Kilworth, was brought before An Bord Pleanala in early February under the Compulsory Acquisition Housing Act.

An Bord Pleanála have now granted the Compulsory Purchase Order case with no objections received on the application. According to Cork County Council’s Derelict Sites Register, the site has been registered as derelict since April 2012.

It is understood the site would have direct access to mains services, with little or no works having ever taken place there.
