Council pursuing a ‘timely repair’ in Doneraile
A partially collapsed wall in Doneraile which has caused the footpath to be closed off by the local authority, is being monitored by Cork County Council to ensure a ‘timely repair’.
The wall on the Mallow Road, which has been cordoned off since a significant amount of rubble collapsed onto the path, is understood by the council to be in the ownership of the Catholic Church Authorities.
While the council have cordoned the area off in the interest of safety, they state that this wall is a private roadside boundary wall and the repair is a matter for the landowners. They are following up with the registered landowner to pursue a suitable repair.
