On Saint Patrick’s Day

We had pigs head and burly cabbage green

On the coats of everyone boy and girl The shamrock was to be seen Ready for Mass St Patrick’s morn we all stood in place

Mam she pinned the shamrock on His loving smiling face

Dad he wore the shamrock proudly on his hat

To show he was an Irishman

And in honour of St Pat.
