Huge response to Ukrainian Appeal
Thanks to all who contributed to our Ukrainian Appeal. The donations formed part of the massive contribution of humanitarian aid from the parish of Anglesboro, Kilbehenny and surrounding areas to the people of war torn Ukraine. Huge credit goes to all involved, in particular, local haulage company Spillane Bros, for the organisation, sorting and ultimate delivery to Ukraine of this vital aid.
FIXTURE LIST FOR THE 2022 SEASON
This week saw the release of the underage fixture list and groupings for the upcoming season. Kicking off with the U15s on April 4th, each group reveals some stiff challenges including a number of mouth-watering local derby’s along the way.
MR BINMAN U17 FOOTBALL DIVISION 3B
Grouping: Cappamore, Ballybricken /Bohermore /Fedamore, Cois Laoi Gaels, Bru, Caherconlish, Hospital Herbertstown and Ballylanders. Fixtures to take place Wednesday evenings. Galtee Gaels have their first outing at home to Cappamore on 29th June.
MR BINMAN U15 FOOTBALL DIVISION 1B
Grouping: Monaleen, Ahane, Oola, Ballylanders, Adare and Killacolla Gaels. Fixed for Monday nights, the first round sees Galtee Gaels play at home to Monaleen on April 4th.
U13 FOOTBALL DIVISION 3B
Grouping: Pallasgreen, Galbally, Dromin Athlacca/Banogue, Caherconlish, Cois Laoi Gaels
Blackrock, Ballylanders, Ballybricken /Bohermore/ Fedamore. These fixtures will take place Thursday evenings starting with the first round versus Pallasgreen on Thursday, April 7th also at home in the Galtee Gaels grounds.
U15 FÉILE FOOTBALL
The U15 Féile competition will take place in Ahane on Friday next, March 18th. The competition gets underway at 10am in a group which sees Galtee Gaels up against Ahane and Oola. The winners of the group will go on to the semi-final on the following day and will face the winners of group D containing, Killacolla Gaels, Ballylanders, Adare and Cappagh Rathkeale.
TRAINING
Galtee Gaels Club na nÓg training continues at the Mitchelstown Leisure Centre every Tuesday night at 6.30pm for the U7s, U9S, U11s and U13s and at 7.30pm for the U15s and U17s. Please remember a €2 charge per player applies to cover rental costs.
SCÓR NA NÓG
We would like to congratulate Áine Moriarty, Ciara Maher, Lucy Geary and Saoirse Clifford who represented the club admirably in the Scór na nÓg Irish Dancing Competition last weekend.
2022 MEMBERSHIP - ONLINE REGISTRATION
Can we ask those yet to register for the 2022 season, to do so as soon as possible? Please remember you cannot participate in club competitions without been a registered club member. Registration can be completed through the “Foireann.ie” online registration portal.
OLD CLOTHES COLLECTION FUNDRAISER
Reminder: The last chance to donate to the old clothes collection will be at the Club House in Kilbehenny on Saturday, March 26th between the times of 12 and 1pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated for this important fundraiser for Club na nÓg.
