Many games off

-

Many games, including our U14 game versus Castlebridge Celtic, were called off early on Saturday morning last. However our U10 academy team were in action on Saturday last away to Kilworth Celtic.

A terrific game here from our boys and girls. ‘Keeper Edward Kaulius, brought off some terrific saves with defender Darragh Kenneally, Hope Henley and Adam Forbes excellent.

Our midfielders showed tremendous form and Isaac Doyle and Sam Marsh were solid throughout and constantly supported the forwards.

Here Jake Keniry, Alexsis Hutchinson and Adam Feeney tormented Celtics defence.

Our scorers here were Adam Feeney and Isaac Doyle. Well done to everyone on what was not a great morning.

This coming week is a very busy are with games going on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Utd games are as follows.

FRIDAY 18TH MARCH U11 EAST CORK OIL CUP Castlebridge Celtic v Brideview Utd. Kick off 11am

WELL DONE BOYS

We had some of our players involved in the W.W/E.C development inter league teams on Sunday last in Ardmore. We had Barra Alien who opened the scoring against Cork but the visitors fought back and won 4-1. James McDonnell was also in action here against the Rebels.

Ryan Whelan and Tommy Forbes were unlucky in our U13 Interleague against Clare. After a cracker of a game, Clare won 3-2.

A LOT GOING ON

We have a lot of work going on behind the scenes as it were and hopefully we will have some news soon regarding dressing rooms and summer camps. The club will have two camps this season. Dates will be announced shortly.

We will have news on The Spar 5-a-side schools competition which will begin shortly. Some news also on Acedemy games going forward. With the club celebrating 50 years this year we will have some news on girls and ladies football.

The schoolboy club will be launching a draw shortly with an Arsenal shirt signed by Michael Delany, an Arsenal football and tickets for the Avivia Stadium for the Republic of Ireland v Scotland game in June. I’m sure we will have some other good news coming down the line in connection with the 50th celebrations.
