Games called off due to waterlogged pitches

- MAIN SPONSOR Laya Healthcare.

Both our games were postponed last weekend due to the pitches being waterlogged. We were due to play Dromina in Dromina on Saturday afternoon and we were due to play Newcestown in Newcestown on Sunday morning but this was cancelled on Saturday evening. This game is re-fixed for Saturday 19th March in Newcestown at 5pm.

Our senior footballers were due to meet Castlehaven in the Senior football league in Fermoy on Sunday next 20th March but this match had been postponed at the request of Castlehaven.

SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

The club is holding a Special General Meeting online on Sunday 20th March at 19.30.

The meeting is to consider the following 2 options:

The Executive of the Club has proposed that the Existing Trustees should retire and that the Corporate Trustees should be appointed as trustees in their place. It is further proposed that the existing Lease will be vested in the Corporate Trustees.

Thereafter it is proposed that the Corporate Trustee will surrender the existing Lease over the Club Grounds and that the Corporate Trustee will thereafter be granted a new Lease over the Club Grounds from the Minister for a term of 30 years at an annual fee of €1000.

It is hugely important that we get a good turnout from our adult membership in order to carry the two motions so we can progress our development plans.

The link for the meeting has been emailed to all adult club members and we need a quorum to get the motion carried. If you have not gotten the e-mail, please contact our Runai Bosco Creed.

Many thanks for your support.
