Planning permission lodged for Ballygiblin pitch
Ballygiblin GAA have lodged planning permission for the construction of an all-weather training pitch at their grounds outside
Mitchelstown. The club also plan to install a 100m long wall for hurling training purposes, along with floodlights.
Club personnel have been hard at work fundraising for the new pitch, particularly in light of their success in the 2021 competition where their junior hurling team were proud finalists in the All-Ireland club championship.
In some of their recent fundraising efforts, the club had a sale of calves at Corrin Mart last week with the aid of sponsors who had reared the calves for the club.
A decision on the planning application is expected from Cork County Council in the first week of May.
