The Avondhu

Busy holiday weekend

-

It was great to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in town with the return of the parade. A huge crowd of our younger players took part, bringing plenty of colour and noise to the occasion.

The bright sunshine brought out a great crowd for Friday’s 2022 Poc Fada, organised by Ballygiblin Hurling Club. The camogie club was well represented, with teams competing in each of the age categories. Well done to the prize winners.

2022 REGISTRATION

A quick reminder that membership is currently being collected for this season. Each group has been sent the registration link by their team coaches.

U16 CAMOGIE

Castlelyons were the visitors to Ballygiblin on Sunday, for an U16 camogie challenge match. Considering it was both sides first match of the season, it was a fine display by both sides. There was rarely more than one score between the teams, with St Fanahan’s holding out for a narrow victory. Many thanks to Castelyons, and good luck for the season.
