Seán and Michael winners

On Sunday morning we had a Scotch fourball competition which was kindly sponsored by O’Callaghan’s Delicatessen Mitchelstown, for which we are very grateful. The proceeds of this went to the Ukraine Fund.

A cool dry morning and a great turnout of players added to the occasion. Seán Howard and Michael McGrath were 1st nett winners on a score of 43. Derry Walsh and Seamus Fox were 1st gross winners on a score of 56.

Our fourball competition on Tuesday afternoon was won by Michael Gowen and Liz O’Rahilly on a score of 47½. Derry Walsh and Margaret Kiely were 1st gross winners on a score of 59.

Competitions continue on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, tee off 2.30pm sharp. Sunday’s competition tees off at 10.30am sharp.

We are very happy to report that the total amount of cash raised by the club for the Ukraine Fund amounted to €800. A sincere word of thanks to all who contributed to this very worthy cause.

The club wish to express sympathy to the Thorpe/O’Meara families Kilworth, and O’Gorman family, Ballyduff, on their recent bereavements.
