Housekeeping

-

Dear Editor, Being a man living on his own, my housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. The home (if you are lucky enough to have a roof over your head) must be kept tidy and the occupants (resident or visitors) must be kept warm. Food is an essential then in all households but with inflation an awful lot of children will go to school hungry.

The housekeeping of the government leaves even more to be desired – if there is a dirty problem, just brush it under the carpet.

When we plant a kitchen garden we look forward to what it might produce. With this government we cannot look forward with any optimism. We have a bad housekeeping policy in this country.

Let not this government or any think about our achievements but what we can achieve as a nation.

Mise le meas, Gerry Stack, Chapel Street, Lismore, Co. Waterford.
