THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AMBASSADOR SCHOOL PROGRAMME

A number of TY students attended a webinar on Monday hosted by the European Parliament Ambassador School Programme, EPAS and presented by Colm Markey, MEP. Colm gave a very informative presentation on the work of an MEP, his role in different committees and the impact of the war in Ukraine on Europe and Ireland.

The programme taking place across the European Union raises awareness of European parliamentary democracy and European citizenship values. By taking part in the programme, students will learn about the role of the European Parliament and will get the opportunity to actively engage with their MEPs. They will learn about European values, their rights as EU citizens and will be encouraged to actively participate in EU democratic processes.
