The Avondhu

Sun, sand and 18 holes!

-

Our good weather continues, the fairways firm up and the drives lengthen as we experience some fantastic golfing weather at the end of March. Our greens have been sandy for the past week since they have been hollow-tined and topdressed with sand – a vital part of ongoing maintenance which I am confident will pay dividends in maintaining the super quality of greens to which we have become accustomed.

Last week also saw the return to 18-hole golf as the ‘across the road’ holes opened up for play. As daylight lengthens so does the length of the round of golf!

The club also wishes to extend congratulations to one of our members Kevin O’Gorman who achieved the World’s Best Master Distiller award in London on 24th March – Slainte Kevin!
