Week one of Corbett Court League
This Sunday will be week one of The Corbett Court sponsored league. It will consist of three weeks of qualifiers, 3rd, 10th and 24th April, final on 1st May. Four best teams to play in the final. Prizes for the top three teams. There will be best nett and gross prizes for ladies and gents each week. We look forward to three good weekends of competitive Pitch and Putt, before the final on 1st May. We would like to thank Declan Corbett for coming on board to sponsor our Spring League.
On Sunday morning we had a threeball competition which was kindly sponsored by Tanner Structural Design for which we are very thankful. A bright, dry, sunny morning greeted a great number of players who took to the tee boxes for the competition. Jerry Burke, Mary Quane, Chris Murphy were 1st nett winners on score of 88 2/3. Kevin Doyle and Breda O’Keeffe plus guest were gross winners on (back 18) on a score of 115. Tuesday afternoon’s fourball winners were Jerry Burke and Noreen Ryan on a score of 44 1/2 nett. John C McCarthy and Denis Keane were gross winners on a score of 57. Stephanie Dunne and Michael O’Meara were 2nd nett winners (on the back 9) on a score of 45 1/2. Thursday afternoon’s fourball winners were Michael McGrath and Catherine Morrissey on a score of 39 1/2 nett. Pat McSweeney and Michael O’Meara were gross winners on a score of 52.
The club wish to congratulate Patsy O’Mahony for the well-deserved award he received from the North Cork GAA board for years of dedication to the GAA.
Tuesday and Thursday afternoon’s competitions tee off 2.30pm sharp. Sunday morning competition tee-off 10.30am sharp. Good luck to all taking part in the League.
