Castletown’ local elected to Fianna Fáil National Executive
Castletownroche local Nelius Cotter was elected as National Membership and Recruitment Director and onto the Fianna Fáil National Executive last weekend.
The election announcement was made at the Ógra Fianna Fáil National Youth Conference in Dungloe, Co Donegal.
“I’m truly honoured and privileged to be given the opportunity by the members in this position and looking forward to getting stuck into the job.
“I’ve no doubt there’s many challenges ahead in the term but overall, it’s very exciting. I look forward to representing the members ideas, suggestions be it the challenges facing the country such as housing, rural communities, farming and so on and making sure that Ógra perspective is shaping the way,” Neilus said.
Neilus, who is 23 years of age, is currently in his final year of Accounting at UCC and farms with his father on their tillage and beef farm.
“I’m hopeful that the year ahead will be successful in recruiting new young, enthusiastic members to join Ógra. If you want to make a difference and want positive change than Ógra Fianna Fáil is for you,” he added.
