Youths closing in on League title

-

Mallow United 1 Fermoy 4

This was a great win for Fermoy coming away with 3 valuable points against top of the table rivals Mallow United.

It was an excellent team performance with all 5 subs playing their part. Goals on the day came from Dylan O’Sullivan (2) and Rua Tobin Allen (2). A win next week away to Macroom will guarantee them the title. This would be a tremendous achievement for this team having been Division 2 champions last season.

U11 Girls Fermoy 5 Midleton 2

Fermoy FC U11 Schoolgirls worked hard for victory in Carrig Park. The conditions changed every 10 minutes and credit must go to the girls for adapting during the game. Two first half goals from Katie McGann and Emma Mannix had us ahead at half-time.

There were more goals in the second half for both sides. Katie was on the scoresheet once more and a brace of goals for Alexandra Strojenska rounded off a great day. We had 19 girls playing their part in the win.
