GOOD START FOR TEAM ‘C’

A great turnout of players took to the tee boxes on Sunday morning for week one of our Corbett Court Sponsored Spring League. A bright dry, crisp sunny morning and lively greens added to the occasion.

After week one Team C Breda O’Keeffe, John Hogan, Christy Murphy, Paul Magnier, Mary Quane, lead on a score of 145. Team D Noreen Ryan, Patsy O’Mahony, Jerry Greehy, Tom Kenneally, Seamus O’Connell are 2nd on a score of 153. Team H Kay Riley, Jerry Burke, John McCarthy, Marie Roche, Sheila Hegarty, Ella Lovett, are in 3rd place with a score of 154 helped by a Hole in One at Number 18 by Kay Riley. Team B Stephanie Dunne, Seán Howard, Margaret Kiely, Nell Coughlan, Liz O’Rahilly are just one point behind in 4th place on a score of 155. Best Nett Gents went to Paul Magnier (on the back 9) on score 47 nett. Best Gross Gents went to Seán Howard on a score of 55. Best Nett Ladies went to Mary Quane (on the back 9)on a score 51nett. Best Gross Ladies went to Noreen Ryan on a score of 63.

Thursday afternoon’s 4 Ball Competition was won by Jerry Burke and Noel Scannell on a Nett score of 461/2. Patsy O’Mahony and Liz O’Rahilly were Gross winners on a score of 60.

Tuesday and Thursday afternoon Competitions continue - Tee Off 2.30 pm sharp. Sunday morning Competition Week Two of the League will tee Off 10.30am sharp.
