Local award winners from Kildare

-

Nice to see some local award winners from Kildare Drama Festival over the weekend.

Congrats to Kilworth Dramatic Society’s Maurice Carroll who took the ‘best actor’ award (Dad/Eddie) and Dave Gill who won the Del Weld Trophy for ‘best character actor’ as Michael in ’The Quiet Moment’.

There were three awards for Brideview Drama - Emer Peet won the ‘best actress’ award, Helen Ahern won ‘best supporting actress’ and the group also took the award for ‘best costume and design’.

Brideview have now completed their festival run while Kilworth play their final festival in Wexford town on Saturday. We wish them the best of luck there and well done to one and all.
