Palace Players due to announce more local dates

Palace Players will be staging their hit play ‘Chapatti’ (winner of five festivals) in Fermoy Community Centre at a date to be announced next week (end of April/early May).

Sean Ahern and Mary Colbert star in this beautiful play by Christian O’Reilly.

Between them have picked up no less than eleven best actor/actress awards on the festival circuit with director Danny Buckley taking five best director awards and the overall group taking several others, such as ‘best presentation’, ‘best moment of theatre’ and ‘best audience play’.

Danny and some other members of the group will travel to the Dean Crowe Theatre in Athlone on Monday for the draw which will give them their chosen night in the RTE All-Ireland Final which runs from May 5 to 14.
