Fermoy Active Retirement meeting

Fermoy Active Retirement group meeting on Wednesday next, April 20th at 2.30pm in Fermoy Youth centre.

Guest speaker on the day - Mike Walsh, Pharmacist Fermoy, covering all aspects of health and well-being. Anne Devine author and motivational speaker covered all aspects of creating a happy and contented life for one self, through selfcare, kindness to others and learning to be assertive without being aggressive. Joining the self-love club is a must. Many thanks Anne.

A vote of sympathy was passed to Mabel Scanlan on the death of her husband Des, who was a long standing member of Fermoy Active Retirement. May his gentle soul rest in peace. We had brunch in the pantry recently, a most enjoyable afternoon, with lots of tasty food and chat. Many thanks to the staff for their efficient and friendly service.

A number of our members were the lucky winners of the many Easter eggs and meal voucher (so kindly presented by The Pantry) raffled at the meeting. Kurling, our last match was very competitive, Kilworth, scoring 7 points and Fermoy 4 points.

Next Kurling session Tuesday, 19th April at 11.30am (note day and time change) in ballroom of Youth Centre. New members always most welcome, just €2 inc. coffee and nibbles.

May 11th (Wednesday) day trip to Kinsale.

July 5th-8th four day.mini break to Galway, Connemara and Aran islands. €475. p/p. sharing. Min 10 people required for pick-up in Fermoy. Names taken at next meeting (20th April) or both trips.

Lots of activities for the year ahead. Do stay safe, but do have fun.
