Access from all areas to James Street carpark
There is good news for motorists in Mitchelstown, as one can now drive into the James Street carpark from both approaches, from Upper Cork Streeet and also from Georges Street.
On Friday morning, council workers re-did the lines on road, so that now motorists can turn right ino the carpark when approaching from George’s Street/Mallow direction. The change had been pursued by Cllr Deirdre O’Brien following the opening of the carpark late last year.
The 49-space facility cost in the region of €230,000, and offers free parking to both residents and visitors to the town.
