Short a number of players, we headed for Dromina on Sunday 10th to take on the locals in the Division 1 Hurling League. The result didn’t go our way on the day finishing on a scoreline of Dromina 3-12, Shanballym­ore 0-2. Our young players showed promising again on the day, with our defence playing well. It is still early days in the league and every game will stand to us.

WEEKLY CLUB LOTTO

There was no winner of our club lotto this week, but well done to our lucky dip winners: Tom and Tommy, Marie Piggott and Breda Sexton. Next week’s jackpot is a whopping €5,400 – tickets available from any club committee member. Thanks to everyone for their ongoing support every week.

Cork will play Limerick in round 1 of the Munster Senior Hurling Championsh­ip this Sunday in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Shanballym­ore have strong representa­tion heading to same and best of luck to all players and supporters. Corcaigh Abú!

CAVANAGH’S FERMOY LEAGUE DRAW

The 2019 league draw is finally taking place.
