Class in honour of the late Sensei Kato
On 16th April, 2020 Sadashige Kato Sensei, 10th Dan Chief Instructor of the International Japan Karate Association (IJKA), a genius and legend within the world of Karate-Do, sadly passed away.
Sensei Kato loved Fermoy and was a regular visitor to our town over the past 40 years. He looked forward to coming over to the club every year and we have very fond memories of him. He was a truly gifted teacher and is sadly missed.
We will remember Sensei next Saturday in the dojo at 3pm when Shihan Brian Toomey will host a class in his honour.
This event will be part of an online celebration, and will include the following IJKA instructors.
Latchezar Nenov - 6th dan, IJKA Technical director, Gligor Gligoroski - 5th dan, Head of technical development section, Milena Galabova - 5th dan, IJKA international board member.
