Sympathies

-

Lismore GAA Club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the Daly family on the recent passing of Gabe Daly, West Street, Lismore. Gabe was an avid sports fan and staunch Lismore GAA supporter and his presence at underage and senior matches will be greatly missed.

As a schoolboy he played hurling with Lismore CBS and continued his hurling career with the Lismore club winning an U21 and junior county title in 1967. He also played hurling with UCC before heading to America on his path to a very successful career. He would have attended nearly all the Waterford matches in recent times to watch his nephews Iarlaith and Carthrach play so well for the Waterford senior hurling team.

Lismore GAA Club would also like to extend its sympathies to the Walsh family on the passing of former Western Board Chairman Paddy Walsh. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anamacha.
