U12s lose in title decider

-

U12 Brideview 4 Ballyduff Rovers 0

This was the final game of the league series and unfortunately we left it to the last game of the season to have our worst game of the season. We were unbeaten coming into this ‘winner takes all’ game and we just didn’t turn up on the day unfortunately. We had a number of early chances to take the lead but didn’t and then got caught on the counterattack on two occasions and went in at the break 2 down.

As we needed to win this game, we had to push players forward in

the second half and as a result we were leaving gaps at the back and got punished. Just not our day and unfortunate that this was the only game we lost all season and it cost us the league title.

So, congratulations to Brideview on the league win, they play a lovely brand of football, play out from the back, lovely skill, and great work rate. Deserved league winners for

21/22 so congratulations to them.

We still have the cups to play for U12, U13 and U15 so still a few weeks to go in the soccer campaign.
