Councillor looking forward to traffic calming measures

Cllr Deirdre O’Brien is delighted with news of the road improvements and traffic calming measures which have been confirmed for Mulberry Lane, Mitchelstown, writes Emily Aherne.

“I have been pursuing these works for some time as it is a densely residential area on a very busy through road leading to schools, businesses and town centre and also used by pedestrians, young and old,” Cllr O’Brien told The Avondhu.

“Safety has to be of the essence here and we can see traffic calming already installed in the nearby areas is giving people the peace of mind they deserve.”
