STEM (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHS)

The junior room in Ballindangan N.S. consists of Juniors Infants to 1st class and they really are engineers in the making.

Children engaged in a variety of activities this term including constructing marble runs, parachutes for eggs, electrical circuits for cities and even designing a shoe for their teacher that had to be waterproof, strong and yet comfortable.

All their designs and inventions were tested and children evaluated and tweaked accordingly. They engaged in a variety of skills including

team work, problem solving, critical thinking, communication and design skills. They even spoke to

a real engineer on Zoom to help answer some of their questions.
