U15s county Féile champions
Congratulations to the U15 team, management and trainers who won out the U15 Division 2 Feile to be county champions in Rathkeale on Monday, 18th April.
They won three out of their four games on the first day of the Féile in Knocklong on Saturday, which qualified them for a semi-final in Rathkeale against Belville Gaels. This got underway at 11am on Monday which resulted in an excellent result with Glenroe winning by a convincing scoreline 6-4 to 1-4, which qualified the team for the final at 12.30 against Murroe.
The final proved to be a lot tighter affair with Glenroe coming out eventual winners 3-7 to 2-7, where the team showed their quality to hold onto the result. This is an amazing achievement and the parish showed their support coming out to greet them Monday evening in Glenroe GAA field.
The future is bright with this group and we are sure this is the first of many titles they will bring to the club.
