Ukraine fundraiser set for May bank holiday

Cahir Park Golf Club play for Ukraine will take place on the May Bank Holiday weekend.

The proceeds of all Competitions played Saturday 30th April and Sunday/Monday 1st/2nd May will be donated for benefit of Ukraine people. All donations will also be appreciated.

Further details of the Fundraiser will be advised next weekend.

LADIES

Thursday 28th April is the date for our first Ladies Open Day of the Season. This competition is very kindly sponsored by Murphy Candles with beautiful prizes, the competition will be Open 3 Ball Champagne Scramble. Visitors €15 and Members €6. Booking on BRS or through Pro Shop 052 7441474.

MARI MINA PHARMACY BERNIE BOLES MEMORIAL SERIES

This exciting competition commenced on Thursday 14th April. Run over the Summer months with 10 Qualifying Competitions alternating Saturday/Sunday and Thursday, three Players qualify from each competition to be among 30 Ladies who will play in Grand Final on Sunday 18th September, 2022. Golfers may only qualify once and there is a Perpetual Trophy and Grand Prize for the Winner.

The successful Ladies on Thursday were Julie Connolly (H/C 21) winning the 18 Hole Stroke competition with 72 pipping Norma O’Brien, also (H/C 21) with 73 into second place with Cathy O’Gorman in third position.

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to our Mary McKenna Diamond Trophy Team who enjoyed great success in the First Round of the competition on Friday 15th April in Roscrea Golf Club playing the Roscrea Ladies. The return match is scheduled for Friday 22nd April in Cahir Park. The very best of luck to all the Ladies representing the Club and to Team Managers Ger Lyons and Margaret Costello.

Note to all Golfers - Scores must be returned on the Club Computer in all Competitions or Automatic Penalties may apply with effect from 31st March as advised by Golf Ireland.
