Great to see tickets bought from Shanballym­ore GAA come out in the Avondhu GAA League car draw including the top prize of the car. The three names drawn from Shanballym­ore tickets and prizes won were: Rían O’Shea Houlihan, Glanworth: Car. Martina Fitzgibbon, Kildorrery: €1,000. Catherine Fitzgerald, Farrahy: €250.

Congratula­tions to all of the winners! Thank you to everyone who bought and sold tickets to support the club.

Shanballym­ore 1-19 Liscarroll/ Churchtown Gaels 3-27

On home ground last Saturday evening, we were met with a cyclone from Liscarroll/Churchtown. The first half of the game saw us outscored and outplayed by a slick outfit. Our opening point came after the 8th minute, with the half-time scoreline well in favour of our opponents.

A much improved performanc­e came in the second half where we held our own scorewise. Despite the scoreline, our backs gave it their all throughout the game.

WEEKLY CLUB LOTTO

There was no winner of our club lotto this week, but well done to our lucky dip winners: Helen Ryan, Aoife Barry and Phil Dennehy. Next week’s jackpot is a whopping €5,500 – tickets available from any club committee member. Thanks to everyone for their ongoing support every week.

CLUB MEETING

There will be a meeting on Monday, 2nd May at 8pm in the clubhouse. All members are welcome.
