Impressive form shown by St Fanahan’s minors
Since our last notes, our minor camogie team have played two league games. Last Wednesday they sealed a fine win away to Aghabullogue.
On Monday of this week, Ballinhassig were the visitors to Limerick Road. A strong first half performance gave St Fanahans a lead at half-time. Ballinhassig were unable to close the gap in the second half, St Fanahans winning out on a scoreline of 3-12 to 2-8.
ST FANAHAN’S JUNIOR CAMOGIE
Last week, the girls travelled to Midleton for the Junior League, but a strong Midleton side were worthy winners.
ST FANAHAN’S U12 CAMOGIE
Ahead of this year’s competitive fixtures, the St Fanahan’s girls travelled to Goatenbridge in great numbers for last Sunday’s U12 challenge match against Ballybacon. Both sides played with great skill and determination in a well contested match that will be great preparation for the upcoming League.
WINNING START FOR MITCHELSTOWN U14 LADIES FOOTBALLERS
The U14 footballers started this year’s North Cork League with a fine performance, when Castlemagner were the visitors last Sunday to a sunny Mitchelstown. Our girls were mean in defence and managed to take a number of well-played scores. Well done to all the girls on a great start to their 2022 campaign.
MITCHELSTOWN U11 LADIES FOOTBALL
The U11 footballers travelled to Fermoy last Sunday for a challenge match. Both teams put on a great display of football. The girls really looked well in their new jerseys.
CONDOLENCES
St Fanahan’s Camogie and Mitchelstown Ladies Football would like to extend its deepest sympathy to the Murphy and Moran families on their recent loss.
