Killavulle­n 3-17 Ballyhooly 0-10

Killavulle­n were very easy winners at home over Ballyhooly on Sunday in the Cavanagh’s Fermoy Division 1 HL. The home side led from the start and the outcome was never in doubt.

Early points by Padraig Looney were followed by a Colm Looney goal after good play by Michael O’Connor. Jamie Magnier pointed a free and the same player had a goal when put through by Liam Fox, as they led 2-3 to 0-0 after 10 minutes

James Roche opened Ballyhooly’s account with a long range free. Roche followed with two other long range frees as Killavulle­n led 2-4 to 0-3 after 15 minutes. The winners had their 3rd goal in the 21st minute by Eoghan Buckley. Both sides exchanged points with Killavulle­n 3-9 to 0-8 clear at half-time.

On the restart Dylan Collins pointed a Ballyhooly free. Both sides exchanged points with the winners ahead 3-13 to 0-10. Killavulle­n had four late points by Darragh O’Grady, Michael O’Connor and Barry Murphy (free) as they emerged easy victors.
