A great weekend

-

U10 GIRLS

Last Friday night we played Bride Rovers in football at Colman’s pitches. We had a great turnout of over 20 players for our first game of the year. The players enjoyed the small sided games and showed off all their skills.

A busy weekend continued on Saturday morning when we travelled to Kilworth to take on the home team at camogie. The team showed no tiredness from the previous night and the coaches were delighted with their attitude and energetic performance.

New members always welcome. Contact Chris 087 1322327 for details.

U11 CAMOGIE

Our girls played host for a blitz with Castlelyons, Bride Rovers and Kilworth on a dry evening but the pitch was very soft. The girls ploughed on and put up great challenges. They had great fun with all the teams, trying to avoid the muddy puddles. They had great passages of play and got a few scores.

ACADEMY

We have football training on Saturday mornings at 10am in St Colman’s for all children born 2015, 2016 and 2017. Please bring water, gumshield and €2. We have hurling training on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm in St Colman’s.

Please bring hurley, helmet, water and €2. New players are always welcome. Please contact Tony on 087-0601741 if you need more details. A special thanks to Sam Twomey, Ryan Slattery and Niall Cloney, all from our juvenile club who helped out at training on Saturday morning.

U10 BOYS

This week we travelled to Killavullen to play hurling against Kilshannig and Killavullen Saturday. We had two teams and played three matches each. The games were very competitive and there was plenty of hooking and blocking, catches and hand passing on show from both our teams. Thanks to Trevor and Jo for the lovely refreshments after the matches.

It’s great to see your hard efforts at training paying off in the matches. Keep up the practice. Thanks to Killavullen and Kilshannig for the sporting games. We will be doing football training on Thursday night in St Colmans from 7-8. See you then.

U12 BOYS

We played Ballyhooly on Wednesday evening last in a very competitive game for both teams, which serves as ideal preparation for forthcoming grading matches. We will play Ballygiblin on Monday night in Ballygiblin in what should be a close encounter.

Training will continue on Wednesday and Saturday in preparation for football matches the following week. New players are very welcome.
