BEALTAINE GOLF CLASSIC 29TH APRIL - 2ND MAY

Our golf classic will be held this bank holiday weekend from Friday to Monday. This is a fundraisin­g event to raise funding for ongoing developmen­t and course improvemen­ts.

This project will benefit all members and visitors. To ensure that this fundraiser is as successful as possible we would be grateful if you could support us by either sponsoring a team at a cost of €100 (includes a meal), sponsor a tee for €100 or sponsor a green for €50. A special thank you to our main sponsor, John Curran and Sons Constructi­on Ltd.

Three-person team event, any combinatio­n. Handicap limit gents 25 and ladies 36. Entry fee €100 which includes food. Play for some fantastic prizes including non GUI prize.

Golf classics provide a great opportunit­y for many casual golfers to play while supporting a worthy cause. We look forward to seeing you all on the fairways of Doneraile Golf Club at the weekend. CLUB RAFFLE

A club raffle has been organised in conjunctio­n with the golf classic. Amazing prizes up for grabs including 1st prize of a driver. Tickets are €5 each. Your support would be very much appreciate­d.

GENTS 2020 SPRING LEAGUE FINAL

After waiting for the past 2 years due to Covid the 2020 Spring League final, kindly sponsored by Doneraile Bridge Club, was played on Sunday in fabulous weather conditions. All games were closely contested with the honours going to John Boyle’s team on a scoreline of 3/2. A big thank you to all our members that played and contribute­d to a very successful competitio­n.

Congrats to the winning team, John Boyle, TJ Cotter, Andy Reilly, Seamus O’Mahony and Colm O’Mahony. Runners-up team Patrick Enright, Ian O’Brien, Keith Sweeney, Barry Hallahan and Donal Mellerick. Prizes were presented to both teams by captain Dermot O’Driscoll and Margaret Coakley representi­ng Doneraile Bridge Club. Many thanks to Doneraile Bridge Club for their generous sponsorshi­p. It is very much appreciate­d by everyone in the club.

SPRING LEAGUE QUALIFIER 2022

Continues to May 29th. 12 holes singles stableford. 2/3 of course handicap. Play 5 cards and best 3 cards to count. Entry fee is €10 on playing first card. Top 40 players qualify. 8 teams of five players.

GENTS’ RESULTS

18 hole singles stableford Saturday 23rd / Sunday 24th April. 1st Kieran Carey 40 points, 2nd Killian Cotter 39 points, gross Sean Enright 34 points. Well done to all the winners and thanks to everyone who played over the weekend.
