45 drive return after more than two years to Duhill Hall next Sunday, May 8th at 8.30pm.
ALZHEIMER’S TEA DAY
Ballylooby will host its first Alzheimer’s Tea Day on Thursday, May 5th from 12.30 to 3.30pm in Ballylooby Community Hall. Your support on the day to raise money for this wonderful charity would be greatly appreciated. Enjoy a cuppa and a slice of something nice while catching up with friends and you could be in with a chance of winning one of the excellent prizes that will be raffled off on the day. THE RHODODENDRON WALKING FESTIVAL IS BACK!!!
We are delighted to have the Rhododendron Walking Festival back in 2022. We have a super line up of walks that take in the most scenic areas of the stunning Galty Vee Valley. The picturesque valley becomes a global phenomenon as it turns pink and purple for a couple of weeks while the rhododendrons are in full bloom.
The June bank holiday weekend is the best time of year to experience the Galty Vee Valley as local guides will take you deep into the valley. With almost 100kms of completely off road walking to choose from over the weekend. Refreshments and live entertainment will be provided. Booking is now open for the festival online. There are
trail walks for all ages and abilities.
CLOGHEEN DARKNESS INTO LIGHT IN AID OF PIETA HOUSE
Registration in Clogheen Hall 7th May 3.45am to 4.15am. The distance is 5km from the hall to the Reigh Cemetery. Head torch, LED light or phone required. The walk will commence at 4.20am. Go online at Darkness into Light, to support, this will be much appreciated. Refreshments in the hall afterwards.

CONDOLENCES
The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) O’Brien, Kilkenny and late of Kilroe, Ballylooby. We extend our sympathy to his family, relatives and friends. Paddy was laid to rest in Ballylooby Cemetery following his requiem mass in St John’s Kilkenny on Tuesday, April 26th.
