Discovering primary science
The Discover Primary Science and Maths Programme (DPSM) aims to increase interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) among students, teachers and members of the public.
The pupils of Bishop Murphy Memorial School are working hard in the areas aforementioned
to win a SFI Discover Science & Maths Award for 2021/22.
Some of the experiments we have carried out include an engineering challenge using marshmallows and spaghetti and designing parachutes using a range of different materials. The boys also explored how some moving objects may be slowed down!
