Russia-ing to war and peace

Dear Editor, Now that summer is here and energy demand is lowered, it offers a chance to effect defeat of Vladimir Putin and ultimately, peace, but only if the West grabs it with both hands now.

Putin must be deprived of the financial means to prosecute the war while time allows, before next winter. Offensive weapons and air support are a must. But the outcome of the economic war, and front, will be the ultimate determinant of how this war ends.

That’s not to say Ukraine is not above criticism for not allowing regional autonomy, multi culturalism and adopting a more tolerant approach in its Eastern provinces.
