FERMOY TIDY TOWNS FLAG DAY
Fermoy Tidy Towns are holding their Flag Day this Saturday in the town and your support would be greatly appreciated.
The group are badly in need of funding if they are to continue keeping the town clean and tidy. They have recently taken on a major project in association with Avondhu Blackwater Partnership in cleaning the promenade on Rathealy Road, with new seating and flowers being put in. Once finished, this will be a great amenity for the town.
Fermoy Tidy Towns would like to thank all those who were involved in the clean-up of the river and surrounding areas last Thursday night as they did a fantastic job. A big ‘well-done’ also to all the people involved in cleaning around their own areas and hopefully, more people will get involved in doing the same to keep the area clean.
The Fermoy Scout group did a great job in cleaning Corrin Hill last week and this was very much appreciated by the Tidy Towns group.
Fermoy Tidy Towns group will now be meeting on a regular basis every Wednesday evening at 7pm and if you would like to get involved, you can get more information by contacting Noel McCarthy on (086) 3751736 or Paul Kavanagh on (086) 2620630.
