Dan and Mark win fourball

Last Thursday we had our first fourball.

There was a great crowd and a great atmosphere around the place. The weather was good for this, which helped. Results of fourball - overall winners Daniel Keohane and Mark O’Keeffe. Gross Decky Freeman and Barry Coughlan. Well done to all that played.

This Thursday, 5th May we will have another 2 ball scramble at 6.45, hope to see ye all.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Please note the course will be closed this Friday 6th to Sunday, 8th May as we are holding the country championships in all grades.

We would like to wish all the Fermoy men and woman the best of luck for this. We would also like to thank all that have worked on the course to get it in the condition it’s in for this competition.

LADIES REPORT

On Tuesday, 25th April the ladies returned to their new playing time of 6.30pm and it was a great success. All our beginners are back in great numbers and in fine playing form. Our newest member Tina McGrath got a mighty welcome. The sponsors on the night were Kathleen Grumbridge and Catherine O’Gorman who put up a beautiful display of prizes.

The winners on the night were overall nett Terry Cleary and Ann Daly, 2nd nett, Frances Tobin and Tilly Noonan.

Terry and Ann both thanked the sponsors and were thrilled with their win. Teas and refreshments were served and the ladies had a great chat and catch up.

On Tuesday, 5th May the competition is sponsored by Marie Caplice and Ann Daly, 12th May is sponsored by Nell McCarthy and Terry Cleary.

The ladies club would like to thank their sponsors for their generosity. A date for the next ladies meeting will be posted next week.
