U15 FÉILE

Well done to our U15s who took part in the John West Féile competition on Saturday, 30th April in Cappoquin. Our girls represented our club very well on the day playing 2 great matches with 1 win against Brickeys and 1 loss against eventual winners Mount Sion. It was great to see some of our younger girls making the step up to U15 level and getting some great experience on the day. Our girls were all smiles at the end of a very busy day of camogie. Well done all and big thanks to our coaches Trevor Geary, Mag Barry and Jackie Hannon for looking after the girls for the day.

U15 Féile panel: Roisin Daly, Leah Kenneally, Lauren Drislane, Maeve Kearney, Dayna Hannon, Joanne O’Connor, Sarah Barry, Ella O’Brien, Grace Kenny, Ava Leamy, Katie Kenny, Clodagh Hayes, Amy Keneally, Lilly Kenneally, Aoife O’Donovan, Sinead Geary, Abbie Feeney, Grace Drislane, Mia Geary and Sinead Branagh.

U16S

Our U16s kicked off their league campaign with a win over Cappoquin on Tuesday, 26th April. The match was nip and tuck from start to finish and was a great exhibition from both sides. This was our girls’ first competitive match of the season but to their credit, our girls got off to a great start with some great scores from Niamh Ryan and Ella O’Brien. Cappoquin came back into the match in the second half but some great saves by our goalkeeper Millie Feeney and some great defending by Sarah Barry, Nora Ahern and Dayna Hannon kept the Cappoquin forwards at bay.

Our midfield duo of Niamh Ryan and Molly Kenneally worked tirelessly for the full match and delivered some great service to our forwards who added more great scores to the scoreboard. Final score Ballyduff 2-08 Cappoquin 0-8. Full credit to both teams on a great game and we look forward to the repeat fixture at home in Ballyduff in a few weeks’ time. Thanks to our coaches Shane, Breda, Martina and Willie for all their efforts behind the scenes so far. On to the next one girls and keep up the good work.
